Listen up: I know some of our friends don’t have jobs, or at least don’t have good paying jobs. We need our friends and family members to be able to lead the kind of lives they desire. Generally these things come full circle anyhow, which is even better for all of us collectively. I personally can’t wait to return home. There is a labor shortage in Canada. Although Canada has a 7.5% unemployment rate, the need for skilled employees is becoming a major concern. It is believed that the once these jobs are filled then the other less skilled jobs that are causing Canada’s unemployment rate will begin to do better also. Canada also has a shortage of labor in the health care and health care support, computer tech, computer programing and software, social sciences, teaching and management fields. Quebec will have 1.3 million job openings by 2016. Canada is also experiencing a very high rate of retirement. The Canadian government is calling for more immigration.
